Helen is delighted to be spending her summer in Wonderland! Recent credits include music directing Jasper In Deadland (2019), and performances in Sweeney Todd (2019), A Murder is Announced (2018), Company (2018), and more. Next up, catch her music directing Evil Dead the Musical here at Brelby! A huge thanks to Shelby for the amazing opportunity, her amazing friends for the endless support, and to the audience – thank you for supporting live theatre!

Cameron is extremely excited and proud to be a part of another Brelby production. It has been some time since he’s acted but you may have seen him during Brelby’s last Night of Shorts as Kenny the Kid. He loves acting and doing whatever he can to improve. Much love to friends and family for all the support, without you he wouldn’t be doing what he loves.

Sarah is excited to be working on another Brelby production! Previously seen on stage in Jasper in Deadland, Wolves of Sherwood, and Big Fish. She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their support during the process of this show. Sarah would also like to thank Brelby for this opportunity to travel into Wonderland. Rebecca is excited to be diving into Wonderland! She is thrilled to be taking on her first antagonist role in such a vivid fantastical story. Previous roles include Wolves of Sherwood (Elodie), 12 Days of Christmas (Oriana) and Return to Rosie’s Pub (Gaia). Rebecca would like to thank Shelby for having faith in her to step out of her box. She would also like to thank the fantastic cast and crew for going on this journey and her wonderful husband for giving up precious time together during this process.

James is a Brelby Company Member and is excited to be returning to the Brelby stage. This marks his 19th Brelby production in three years. He was last seen on stage in Return to Rosie’s Pub and Powerhouse. Often found working behind the scenes he is excited to be teaming up with Rebecca again to design the props for this show, too.

Top of the mornin’ to ya! Tanner is thrilled to be performing in this wonderful production of Alice’s Canvas at Brelby Theatre Company. This is his 3rd time being in a production at Brelby, on top of being a member of its resident improv troupe Results May Vary. He’s done theatre all throughout high school too, performing in such roles as Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Tartuffe in Tartuffe, and Piz in Alice: A Wonder-full Musical to name a few. He is also pursuing a career in cinema, studying under a filmmaking degree at ASU. Tanner would like to thank his family, his friends, the tasty toxins, the Dum to his Dee Tyler Miller, and all of you for coming to see and support local theatre companies! Tyler is excited to help bring Wonderland to the Brelby stage. He was recently a director in B3’s Second Annual Festival of Shorts (Squirrels in a Knothole) and played Jean-Luc in the world premiere of Wolves of Sherwood at Brelby! Tyler would like to thank his friends and family, the wonderful cast and crew of Alice’s Canvas for all their enormous amounts of effort into bringing Wonderland to life, and Tanner Young for being the best Tweedle Dee he could have hoped for. Ian Rey is overjoyed to be performing in their third Brelby stage production. They have performed on the Brelby stage Sylvia Rivera in Return to Rosie’s Pub and as Touchstone in As You Like It. Ian Rey has had an amazing time both acting and makeup designing for this production and wants to thank their family and their new Brelby family for all the support and love.

Ashley is enthralled to be back at Brelby for this production. She has been in two other Brelby productions: A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Wolves of Sherwood. She is attending Metropolitan Arts Institute as a senior and is delighted to be pursuing theater outside of school. Love to Ruqayyah and Sarah.

Artist Bios: Production Team

Shelby Maticic (Director/Costume Designer/Makeup Designer) is a Zoni nominated playwright and designer. She received her B.S. in Theatre Performance from NAU, and her MFA in Arts Entrepreneurship and Management from ASU. Shelby is proud to serve as the Vice President of the ariZoni Awards of Theatre Excellence. Select Brelby Acting Credits: Peter and the Starcatcher (Molly Aster) She Kills Monsters (Agnes), Twelfth Night (Viola), Playing Games (Mel), Fangirl (Sophia), Windfall (Olivia). Eric Evans (Stage Manager) recently appeared on the Brelby stage as Virgil/Hathaway in Jasper in Deadland, and is returning to make his stage management debut!

Cody Caple (Assistant Stage Manager) is part of a stage management team for the first time, and he couldn’t be happier. With only one other show under his belt, he’s ecstatic to be learning so many new things. He’s a total bookworm, whose preferred genre is sword and sorcery fantasy. Many thanks and much love to Karen and James for always supporting him and the cast and crew for putting such an amazing show together.

Brian Maticic (Scenic Designer/Fight Choreographer) received his B.S. in Theatre Performance from NAU. Jonathan Gradilla (Lighting Designer) is proud to make his lighting debut with this fun and colorful show! He was previously seen on the Brelby stage as Declaire from Wolves of Sherwood and Robert from 12 Days of Christmas. He likes pop music and making people smile. He’s thankful for his family, the theatre, and most importantly coffee. Enjoy the show!

Tim McCandless (Dialect Coach) recently designed lights for Jasper in Deadland, and has returned to lend his dialect coaching talents to this show.
