Cameron has never been more ready for a show and can’t wait for his Brelby musical debut. You may have seen him previously in the Night of Shorts as Kenny the Kid and in Alice’s Canvas as the noble White Knight! He’d like to thank the wonderful cast and crew for all their love and support and putting up with him! He also can’t thank Brelby enough for everything they’ve done, they’ve been so welcoming and open. He’s so proud to be part of this community!

Karla is absolutely ECSTATIC to be back on the Brelby stage! She is so grateful for the opportunity to have her musical debut at Brelby with Evil Dead! This show is so much fun and she hopes you have just as much fun as she is every night! She has her BA in Theatre from ASU. Previous credits include Pasqualina in Hit Music (catch her in this role again next January at Now and Then Theatre Co!), Evil Gabi in She Kills Monsters at ASU, Talidia in Brooklyn Bridge at ASU for which she was Zoni nominated, Sara in Fangirl at Brelby, Rhoda Penmark in Bad Seed and many more. Issie is super excited to be making her Brelby debut. Previous performances include: Antigona – Antigona: Las Voces Que Incienden El Desierto (PC – KCACTF nom.), Ensemble – All Shook Up (TheaterWorks), Nina – In The Heights (DFT – NYA nom.). She would like to thank Brian and Helen for being so understanding with her conflicts, along with her family and friends for all their support! Big thanks to the man upstairs!

Jareliese has participated in different forms of performing arts. She has released a single with a co-singer and has sung pop rock with her band, Little Valerie.

This UPSTAGE Theatre Guild alumna flew in last year from the Philippines, from her hometown Cebu where she started acting at the tender age of 10. Jaraliese has been involved in public speaking, print modeling, spoken word, musicals, and radio/online/TV commercials. Theater credits include: Wynter & Summer Solstice, The Vagina Monologues, Cinderella: The Musical, Julius Caesar: The Rock Opera, Wizard of Oz, Ampalaya Monologues, Destination Gaia, and The Contemporary Cebuano Theater.

Sarah is excited to be working on another Brelby production! Previously seen on stage in Alice’s Canvas, Jasper in Deadland, Wolves of Sherwood, and Big Fish. She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their support during the process of this show. Sarah would also like to thank Brelby for this opportunity to take a vacation in a cabin in the woods. We hope you have a bloody good time!

 

 

Brian Maticic (Director/Scenic Designer/Fight Choreographer) received his B.S. in Theatre Performance from NAU. Acting: Black Stache/Peter and the Starcatcher (ariZoni nomination), Robert/12 Days of Christmas, Bob/Revenge of the Space Pandas, Duke Orsino/Twelfth Night, Bill/Poseidon’s Regret. Directing: She Kills Monsters, Love’s Labours Lost, Be a Good Little Widow, Princess and the Pirate, Beyond Musketeers: Utopia Lost, missing grace, The Oz Chronicles. Playwright: Playing Games, Non-fat Soy Peppermint Mocha Latte … With Sprinkles, 12 Days of Christmas, Beyond Musketeers: Utopia Lost, Windfall, Depend on Me and the upcoming Brelby world premiere Luna and Solis. Brian is the recipient of a 2019 ariZoni award for his fight choreography for TheatreWorks’ YouthWorks production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Shelby Elise Maticic (Artistic Director) is a Zoni-winning playwright (Return to Rosie’s Pub) and designer. She received her B.S. in Theatre Performance from NAU, and her MFA in Arts Entrepreneurship and Management from ASU. Shelby is proud to serve as the Vice President of the ariZoni Awards of Theatre Excellence. Select Brelby Acting Credits: Peter and the Starcatcher (Molly Aster) She Kills Monsters (Agnes), Twelfth Night (Viola), Playing Games (Mel), Fangirl (Sophia), Windfall (Olivia). Helen Morris (Music Director) is a musical theatre workshop instructor for the Arizona Thespian Society, where she teaches musical writing, music theory, and audition coaching & techniques to high school and college students. Recent Brelby credits include Alice’s Canvas (Alice) and Jasper in Deadland (Music Director). She would like to send out a huge thanks to Brian & Rebecca, extra love to her girls Ian & Shelby for their limitless support and to the audience for keeping theatre alive! Thank you!

Rebecca Ulbrich (Stage Manager) is excited to be celebrating two years at Brelby by stage managing this bloody terrific show (and she happens to be a fan of the Evil Dead franchise too!). Rebecca’s previous stage management credits at Brelby include Big Fish, Powerhouse: The Tesla Musical and Spy Love You (ASM). Rebecca would like to thank Brian for allowing her the honor to SM this production and trusting her to head this epic production. She’d like to thank the cast and crew for their dedication, time and for being the most wonderful group of artists to work with. She’d also like to thank her loving husband and dog, who haven’t seen her much lately but continue to support her. Enjoy the show!

Tyler Miller (Lighting Designer) is excited to shed some light on the Brelby stage again! Previously seen on the Brelby stage as Tweedle Dum in Alice’s Canvas and Jean-Luc in Wolves of Sherwood. Previous lighting credits include Matt and Ben (B3/Aside Theatre), 12 Days of Christmas (Brelby), and Return to Rosie’s Pub (Brelby). He would like to thank his friends, family, Cameron and Brian for assisting him with lights, the cast and crew for all of their hard work, and you for coming out and supporting this killer production!!

Anabel Olguin (Sound Designer) is bloody thrilled to have the chance to do sound design for the second time this season. Her most recent Brelby credits include Red Knight (Alice’s Canvas), Malbete (Wolves of Sherwood), and sound design for Big Fish. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Kayleen Harshbarger (Costume Designer) is thrilled for you to see her bloody costumes come back to life! Her most recent credits include Grand Canyon University’s productions of Godspell & Macbeth (Hair & Makeup Design), and Blk Box PHX’s S#!tfaced Shakespeare (Assistant Stage Manager). This is her first time working at Brelby Theatre, and she has absolutely loved working with such a supportive and talented cast and crew!

Shelby Huston (Hair & Makeup Designer) is honored to have another makeup design under her belt! Previous makeup design credits include Jasper in Deadland, As You Like It, Big Fish, and Heathers. Big thank you to Ian and Helen for keeping her grounded and extra hugs to Cody for dealing with fake blood being all over the kitchen. Enjoy the show!

Ian Rey Sausedo (Assistant Makeup Designer) is excited for you to see the wickedly devilish designs they’ve produced for this show!! Ian Rey has had a hand in designing the makeup for Brelby’s productions of As You Like It & Alice’s Canvas. They would like to thank their partners in crime Shelby Huston and Helen Morris for sticking around during all the blood and guts.

Jen Gantwerker (Prop Designer) cannot wait for you to see all of the crazy, fun, disgusting stuff she got to create for this show. Her props were last seen on the Brelby stage during Big Fish; her self was last seen on the Brelby stage during Jasper in Deadland. Also some of her words were seen on the Brelby stage during Return to Rosie’s Pub, which just won a Zoni award for Best Original Script! Thanks to Brian for challenging her to live up to his incredibly ambitious vision, Dad and Becky for helping with some of the more challenging pieces, and this awesome cast for giving it all life. And death. And then life again.

Eric Evans (Run Crew) is excited to be back behind the scenes playing with blood at Brelby Theatre. He has previously been seen at Brelby in Jasper in Deadland. He is a Forensic Science major at Grand Canyon University, with a Theatre minor.
