Schedule your audition today!


Brelby is holding auditions for the remaining four productions of our 2013 season.

June 29th from 9am-1pm and July 6th from 9am -1pm at the Brelby Studio.

Auditioners will be asked to prepare:
2 contrasting monologues, totaling no more than 2 minutes total.
Those who are auditioning for I Love You, Because will be asked to prepare a 16 bar song selection.
A pianist will not be provided for initial rounds. A CD player and Ipod docking station will be available.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE is a modern twist on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice , set in New York City. A young, uptight greeting card writer’s life is changed when he meets a flighty photographer. Along with their eccentric friends and siblings, they learn to love each other not in spite of their faults, but because of them.

AUSTIN BENNET (25; tenor to A): greeting card writer.

Telemachus, Darling

Telemachus, Darling is a tender exploration of the life of an eight-year-old boy following his father’s death at sea during World War I. Twining together the dreams and realities of young Darling’s life with episodes from the story of Odysseus’s son, Telemachus, this play is a strange, poetic look at loss, its tolls and redemptions, in the lives of two young men.
