Wolves of Sherwood

Director’s Note

When are we too proud? When are we too cautious? How do we strike a balance that allows us to push through our greatest fears while also maintaining safety? The Wolves of Sherwood by Chelsea Frandsen offers us an exciting exploration of when to step in and when to step back. Further, it shows us the costs when we’re too afraid to act and too foolish to act first without thinking. The play offers this moral quandary—as well as explorations of love, friendship, and loss.

At Brelby, we imagine, create, and inspire. One of the ways we do this is by producing new work. The Wolves of Sherwood makes its premiere on our stage, bringing together over 20 artists to create new stories, imagined through our collaboration, to inspire the key partners of the work we do—you—our audience!

Thank you for joining us and for supporting new stories in our community. It is our hope that we’ve created a fun and unique experience for you through reimagining the classic world of Robin Hood—enjoy the show!
